Was flipping through a photographer agency book at work, discovered this amazing photographer. He has multiple projects but what was most striking to me was his body of work about "forest defenders" - he's made it into a book that is going on my Christmas List: FOREST DEFENDERS: THE CONFRONTATIONAL AMERICAN LANDSCAPE

Grizzly Bear identity
This Grizzly Bear poster, photographed on Ludlow Street and spotted all over Manhattan, is the work of Ben Tousley. He's designed album packaging and advertising for the band since 2005's Horn of Plenty, and I hope it's a collaboration that continues.

Au Revoir Simone website
As a fan of Au Revoir Simone's music, I wanted to see if they were touring NYC anytime soon. Sadly, I just missed them but the good news is that I discovered their amazing website. I love their playful layout and also use of photographic collage. Each subtitle you click on (news, music, etc) it kind of floats you across the landscape of the site to different corners, discovering that its all one vast drawing. Beautiful!
